The Principality of Ruhnu was officially established today, May 15, 2025, as a micronation in the Baltic Sea.
Today marks the official establishment of the Principality of Ruhnu as a micronation with a semi-constitutional monarchy structure. Björke Lindström has been proclaimed as H.R.H. Prince Björke I, becoming the ceremonial head of the micronation.
As a micronation, the Principality of Ruhnu acknowledges the sovereignty of the Republic of Estonia while celebrating the unique cultural heritage of the island through symbolic self-governance.
