During this temporary pause, essential services continued to operate while government departments conducted routine administrative reviews and system updates. Prime Minister Toomas Rebane and his cabinet have now returned to full operational capacity.

Toomas Rebane of the Baltic Unity Movement has been elected as the first Prime Minister of the Principality of Ruhnu, winning 56.1% of the vote in the micronation's inaugural democratic election.
The historic election saw strong participation from Ruhnu's citizens and residents, with 57 total votes cast. Rebane secured 32 votes, defeating his opponent Maris Kask of the Ruhnu Progress Party. The new Prime Minister brings extensive experience in diplomacy and community organization to his role.

Today marks the official establishment of the Principality of Ruhnu as a micronation with a semi-constitutional monarchy structure. Björke Lindström has been proclaimed as H.R.H. Prince Björke I, becoming the ceremonial head of the micronation.
The official flag of the Principality has been adopted, featuring a Nordic cross design with a blue background and yellow cross with black borders. As a micronation, Ruhnu acknowledges Estonia's sovereignty while celebrating its unique cultural heritage.
